My neighbors husband passed away a few years ago, she is now selling many of his things. She has asked me to help her. There are a lot of things, but a few tractors, some tractor parts and thing I know not what they are.
some of the things:
A Fordson F (I think from around 1922 to 1927. It runs, he had some rubber hoops around the tires and drove it in parades.
A McCormic Farmall 300 not sure if it runs
A minneapolis moline not sure if it runs
A couple of or 9 n's
Several tractor tires, wheels and weights

I can send photos if you like, will try and put up a photo of th fordson

Any information on selling these would be appreciated.

Thank you,
M

I understand but I have no idea what to ask for these tractors, and I was looking for some information on the best way to sell them. If they go to the local auction I do not believe they will do well. So I am hoping to find folks who are interested in antique tractors. I am in SW Washinhton State.

Mike ..... There are only a few ways to sell anything. Sell it on line (like here on YT), sell it in print (local papers, etc) or park it outside somewhere near a road with a For Sale sign on it. Remember discussions earlier this week, the market is probably down quite a bit from the best of times.

Rather than beating around the bush, why not come right out and ask:

1) What are they worth and/or 2) Does anybody here want to buy them?

A lot depends on how fast you want to sell them,I see some for sale different places literally for years for a lot of money. To sell quick they have to be priced very reasonable or
an auction of some type. There isn't a lot of of prospective buyers around these days with money burning a hole in their pocket.

Ron ...... I think he was referring to some extra tires and rims, not what was on the tractor in the pics.

Ask if the husband had been a member of any local old tractor clubs. They might be willing to help with ballpark values and how to sell them.

Myself, I don't think they are high value. I would guess around $500 for any non-running tractors and $1000 if they run. The Farmall 300 could be worth more if it is in good running condition. I have no idea on the Fordson.

What? a Farmall 300? here they are worth about 200 bucks more than an H, and an H is a 900 buck tractor.

Find out from the Mrs. where exactly the parades were he drove in.
And if he was involved in any type of clubs, of any sort.
His cohorts might be of great help in getting the stuff sold.
A photo ad in the local stuff for sale rag or craigslist of the towns he paraded in might work.

If you would post the pictures of the Fordson to the Fordson forum, you might get some good responses on the value. Appears to be a Fordson model "F" with a magneto (instead of the wooden coil boxes) and the Fordson kerosene carburetor has been replaced with a more modern ( gasoline) updraft carburetor.

Thanks everyone for all the help, I will put these tractors in the classifieds, along with the tires, parts etc.

Appreciate the help,

M
