MacDon equipment

Do any of you guys have experience with MacDon equipment haven?t heard a lot about them just curious of what people think about them.

From my experience with a friend when I lived in Montana who operated 5 combines doing custom cutting, from Kansas to Canada, they are very good. Their service and on site repair were depended on. Jim

There are a large number of MacDon swathers here. They are good machines.IMHO,better than the competition.

Hi Just finished a 3,000 mile road trip through western Canada and most of the large farm dealerships also had a sign advertising MacDon equipment. MacDon headers appeared to be the headers of choice. They were installed on JD, CASEIH and New Holland combines. The farmer that leases my cousin's farm has two NH combines and both have I believe about 40ft MacDon direct cut headers on them.

We have two MacDon draper heads on your combines. The are 40 foot flex headers. Cuts as close as the old 20 ft. headers would. Leave fewer beans on the ground than the JD headers we replaced. Local dealer is good. Keeps a lot of parts. They are not cheap.

There are several MacDon windrowers around us and the fellows like them.

Yes the w series Is a mac don they are more for wind-rowing grain or canola but the r series Is not a Mac don
