Case Thresher

I have a Case thresher that has been setting out in the open for years. Parts of the galvanized sheeting have rusted. I also have an old JD grain drill that has rust on the galvanized hopper. What do y'all do when you want to restore galvanized sheeting on implements? Will it have to be painted over (and with what) or is there something available to rejuvenate galvanized material?

You remove all the old rusty stuff, and replace it with new galvanized pieces. Not an easy task, if you plan on RESTORING it, rather than giving it a DUPONT OVERHAUL. There is galvanized spray paints available at most hdw stores, but that won't keep the grain from falling through all the rusted out holes.

Some years ago I wanted some special galvanized pieces made up, a local small HVAC shop that made duct work and plenums was able to do it no problem. Last time I was there was a couple years ago and he was looking to sell out and retire.
