case 580ck update still need help

to start I will give some background on this. It started blowing black smoke and loseing power changed both fuel filters cleaned oil bath still no change finally just quit running . just installed new injectors which it needed badly bleed them it started ran for about 30 seconds and quit now wont fire over at all getting a small amount of white smoke and sounds like it woild like to start. injectoers are adjustable but were factory set. where should I look now? THANKS for your paitentce and help

The governor ring in the injector pump is coming apart. Remove the check valve on top of the pump and see if is full of something that looks like black pepper. It if is get the pump rebuilt. You may not have needed the injectors.

An easier and faster way is to loosen the two screw pump housing timing cover, and if engine runs OK then pump needs repaired. Knocking out the return fitting ball just ruins an otherwise good fitting that can be cleaned.

Sounds like a classic flex ring issue. This time of year I see about one a week like that. Time for a reseal. Make sure to call around. Don't just jump on the first guy who answers the phone or is close by. Few calls can save you some cash and maybe some hassle. Al.
