Can anyone tell me if a Hatz V790 and a Wisconsin VH4D engine are interchangeable in a 1974 Case Scatback 430?

Oops. I mean a Hatz Z790 and a Wisconsin VH4D.

I don't know if they are interchangeable or not. You could get a Wisconsin or Hatz in a new one. I had one with the Wisconsin engine. Ran one once with the diesel, and it was underpowered. Great little machine.

Mine has the Hatz Z790 diesel engine which is shot. I have found a nice Wisconsin VH4D which, as you say was available on the new models. Just not sure whether it will match up to the Hatz mountings. I will probably just need to measure it out. The problem is the Wisconsin is about 4 hours away.
