Heading home tomorrow

It has been a mostly nice week at Branson this week.

We got caught in a couple storms, but managed to get 10 hours on the boat, lake was smooth as glass this morning and sun was warm. I work so much that don't get enough hours on the boat, this is my relaxation week. The boat ran "OK" when we got here, but it really runs nice now, it is amazing how running the engine for long periods smooths them out. My boat tops out at a little over 50 at 5500 RPM, but the sweet spot is about 40 at 4000 RPM, above that the fuel rate really goes up.

Caught some shows, Haygoods, Duttons, and Chinese acrobats, all were great.

If you come here, make sure and see the Sampson show, it is just outstanding.

Well, will do about an hour boat run in the morning, put it on the trailer and drive the 8 hours home.

Empire fair is still going on and tomorrow is rodeo day. Ya I know boat and parking can be a thing but the fair is one of the best in Missouri

I have not put a GPS on my jon boat, but it can be a little scary wide open. But every boat I have owned is like you describe, there is a place where it really does not go faster, it just burns a lot more gas!
