In 1968 the captain of our ship took us around Kwajalein to see the ex German cruiser Prinz Eugen. It survived two bomb tests but later capsized and sank close to shore. You could see about a third of the keel and the props.

I was privaleged to participate in Operation Dominic In 1962 at Christmas Island from the decks of a DDR. Watched 8 to 10 fireballs from as close as 17 miles.
