I delivered to a farm yesterday and saw these. There were a binch, but these were the only pics I got. Was a very interesting place.

Farmers the original Hoarders

It's not exactly hoarding.

1 When you get a newer tractor the old one gets relegated to occasional duty. Then after it sets a while it becomes a nuisance to get it started. But it still should run so you don't get rid of it. See point 2.

2 You don't like to get screwed with low trade in value, so you line them up. Happens with good pickups too.

3 One spare part is worth not scrapping an old piece of equipment, so you keep all the old balers, mowers, etc. and occasionally take something off them. Drivelines come off first.

4 It is really hard to sell stuff off the farm. Nobody can find it. It's just not worth the trouble to be at the house to meet someone who wants to give you a pittance for what you have. And maybe they're checking out your good stuff for their friends to come look at later. Better to just let it set.
