They say you can't make a tractor original again. I just crossed that line on the Oliver 500. I shot the Clover White paint on the wheels, grill and seat this morning, then sprayed the Meadow Green on the fenders, fender braces, fender mounts, lights, cross box, battery covers and other small parts this afternoon.
I took the sand blaster to the dash this afternoon when I got done. I need to do some more scraping and a lot of pressure washing on the chassis before I can paint the rest of it. I'll have to wait for the paint on the grill to get dry enough for masking tape before I can paint the hood. I want to put another coat on everything after I get it back together to cover up the new bolts and whatever scratches I put in it trying to piece those orchard fenders all back together.
It's coming along.
