Neighbor found a Deere 752 4 spinner tedder for sale at $3000. Who made them for Deere? Are parts a problem? Instead of folding up this one the end spinners fold back. Is this a good or bad point? Thanks Tom

Those are Kuhn, the gold standard in tedders. Parts are no problem . That price is a little strong though, you should get a guarantee for the rest of the year for that.

I use my neighbor's but I don't like it real well. Only because I mow with a 7 footer and it doesn't match up with the swaths. Made by Kuhn and same as some NH's too, but you'll pay extra for the green paint.

You usually pay more for the red and yellow paint and then it?s always 2 weeks out with freight added

All I can tell you is this. We traded a lot of them in for Niemeyers, because they were far better than the Kuhn/Deere/NH tedders. A few years later, Krone introduced the KW550 Tedder, which is easily twice as good as the Niemeyers.

A good friend of ours bleeds green, and has two nearly new Kuhns. He wasn't satisfied with the job they were doing, so we took him a Krone. It never came back, and the two Kuhns are sitting in the weeds behind the barn.

If it's not a Krone, leave it alone!

They are a Kuhn and are what I would call a medium duty tedder. Krone is one of the heaviest and the Italian imports the cheapest. The price is high unless it is in like new condition.

Bought one in NH red flavour a few years back for 1500$. I was concerned as it was built lighter than the khd fahr tedders it replaced knock on wood it covers rough ground every year without much more than tines. I just dislike the folding as I have to fold and unfold upwards of 10 times a day to move between fields, gets old.

Have had one for 15 years, no issues at all. It does a very good job with 9ft hay bind and 10ft discbine swaths. Only thing I don?t care for is the manual fold. If going to several different fields in a day, it gets to be kinda bothersome to keep opening and closing. As far as price.............I haven?t priced anything new lately, but I paid $2200 for it 15 years ago. It was basically new then, and it was from a John Deere dealer.

I bought one last year at a sale for $400. It broke the cast piece the other day where the outside baskets connect to inside baskets. The connections at that spot were worn anyway. It has a replacement pin at that spot and had just put a new one in. May junk it. I don't know yet.

Instead of junking it if repair is too costly: Could the unit be shrunk to a 2 basket version and still function? If yes, then you could easily do that and likely sell it for more than you paid for it. Would have some spare tine parts as well.
