loaded tire that is flat

I was driving my F 20 around the block. A rear tire started to spit at me. It did not take long for it to progress to a big gusher. I parked it with the leak at the top. I will take a hose and attempt to drain it out of the valve stem, but are there any suggestions on how to remove the fluid from the tire where it sits in a ditch, 2 miles from home?

Call your local tire repair man they might stop by and pump it out at no charge to you. I used to do that and I know other dealers that do it.

Get the hole on the bottom and let it go. It will take a while for the grass to turn brown. Hopefully this road ditch is not someone's front yard!

ya, a sharp knife and cut the side wall on the bottom. done that before. presuming the tire is junk.

The local tire man is too far away to do it tonight. I would like to get the tractor washed off tonight, because it sprayed quite a bit of the tractor. The tire already has a split in it. This was a tire failure, not a puncher. I drove it to a neighbors driveway and I would like to not do something that will cause future problems. This tire may not have failed if I had not had fluid in it, and so if I do attempt to repair the tire, the fluid will not be going back in. I have a small pump and an old cordless drill. One battery just came off the charger today.

I stopped my tractor once, got off and saw a p!ss stream, not the best feeling.

Good luck with that.

I just screw out the stem then put a hose over the stub. Run it in a plastic barrel. With the stem on bottom the tractor will push it out down to the last 5 gallon or so.
