We took 3 of our tractors to our local 4th of July parade. We drove the back roads to the parade staging area, about a 5 mile ride. This celebration and parade has been going on in our small town for over 100 years now. Parade route is about a mile long. Glad I wasn't in a marching group, as temps were in the 90's. The parade was about 2 miles long with 0ver 100 units.
When all the parade participants had completed the route there was a flag ceremony and a band in the front yard of what is now the community center. This building was where I went to school K-6th grade. The band played the National Anthem, accompanied by a young man who sung the lyrics..
He did a super job, with no personal twists, and everyone stopped what they were doing, removed their hats and paid homage.
Great to see in this day and age.
Huge Huge crowd and when we left to drive the tractors home we found cars parked along the road at least a mile out of town.
I gave my camera to the wifey to take pics, but she didn't take near enough. Here is what she took, and the last pic. I took out of the windshield of my 931 on the drive home.
We had 3 generations of family driving and riding.

We went to the wife?s hometown for their annual parade, about 20 minutes into it came a downpour with thunderstorms and it rained for four hours. 50 miles back home we didn?t get a drop.
