Hydro tractors

Been thinking of a hydrostatic around 75 to 100 hp cab tractor after a back surgery a year ago using a clutch aggravates my back some I'm not prejudice to any brand just seeing what's out there thanks

Well the only row crop tractors that are hydrostatic drive, that I know of would all be IH. They built the model 84 until 1983 and it was 65 HP. The Model 85 was made until 1985 and was 80 hp. I have seen several 84s but only one 85. They were both built in England IRC.

The newer tractors would be smaller and they would be compact utility tractor. Which are not really big enough for a lot of the work you would do with a normal farm tractor.

Another option would be the IVT transmissions you can change speeds and direction without clutching. There are a lot of newer tractors with them.

My neighbors had an IH Hydro 86 which is 70 PTO HP. They performed pretty much no preventive maintenance on anything yet I was never aware of them having any problem with it.

I went to an auction recently and they sold a in hydro 100. They guy was partly disabled and he could drive it. I have a couple of John Deere power shift tractors and I like them. One has a loader on it.

Don't limit yourself to "Hydro" tractors, power shift and IVT tractors may offer you the relief you seek so try 'em out and figure what works best for you!

Hydro 84 sold at Macffaddens yesterday. Seemed decent. Either $7500 or $4500. Which are very different amounts...just can?t remember

I got a $25 electric plastic concrete mixer. I am thrilled.

Wife's uncle leased a large IHC years ago. Not impressed. For plowing and other pulling tasks, very inefficient. Lots of heat generated for no good.

Int need tasks for the tractor ? https://www.deere.com/en/tractors/utility-tractors/4-family-compact-utility-tractors/4066r-compact-utility-tractor/

Check into AGRABILITY, they may buy you a CVT tractor if your medical condition qualifies.

My neighbor has a hydro 100 with a boom mower on it. The hydro is handy for mowing ditch banks. I have 4 deere powershifts and like them over the others with quad range.

ANY IH hydro tractor that came from a good home and maintenance would not scare me at all. I bought a real nice 656 hydro and most everyone was skeptical all it needed was the flex plate replaced I have used it a little with a 7 foot rototiller AWESOME

We have a hydro 50 hp compact JD. Moving 4x5 bales with it now. Didn't know they was so fine till my son got it. Gets the most hrs of anything. A ivt is really a hydro combined with a power shift and a sun gear set.
