Best John Deere 4450D starter replacement

Looks like I might have to replace the starter in my 1983 John Deere 4450D. Anyone have a recommendation on the best replacement brand. I've had some not so good issues with fit all tractor brands and the prices vary. I want a good quality starter that will fit and have plenty of spin quality. thanks. Joe

I Googled that part number and got a new one for $359+ shipping,,, came the next day...

Why not have your starter rebuilt. I can't tell you how many years it's been since a new starter was installed in our shop, the originals
are always rebuilt and much less costly than new.

I agree on the Nippendenso starter. Upgraded on a 4320 and didn't regret it.

The 13V 5Kw Denso , not the 4Kw unit. Find an aftermarket jobber to supply the starter listed here . Why not have 5Kw instea dof 4Kw ?
