not sure but something reminds me of Allis Chalmers B if so serial number would be on top of transmission case to rear of shifter.

Yes Allis Chalmers model "B". Has foot brake pedals so it is latter production. Around 10 hp? Like the added on hydraulic system.

Ok, school me. How can you tell it's a C with a B front end? I thought the only difference was the front end.

I'd say Allis Chalmers C with a B front end and hopefully B steering box or it will steer 'backwards',has a 'custom' seat and air cleaner added and appears to be a very
nice Woods mower on it.Oh and the very rare car hub caps(LOL)Actually if mechanics are OK it could be turned into a nice mowing outfit easily with a good seat,hood,gas tank and a few things.

Obvious thing in this picture are the wider C final drives,plus it has the bolt on wheel centers but the late model B's had those too so that isn't definitive.

It also has a C radiator shell. The shell has the opening in the bottom for the narrow wheel steering bolster. Wide final drive housings, as mentioned by another poster.
