International 504 problem

hey guys,
I'm sort of new here, I couldn't remember the password to my old account, texasranger, so I just made a new one. Anyway, I was out brush hogging my field today and no matter what gear I was in or whether I was going uphill or downhill my 504 would randomly sputter and act like it was about to run out of gas. I assume this is some sort of carb problem but id like some opinions before I tear the carb apart. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Just based on what I have read on replies to other questions....

- Check that you have good flow from the gas tank and line

- Run it without the gas cap on tight, your vent system may be plugged and a vacuum is being created as fuel is drawn out.

- Anything in the gas tank that could periodically cover the outlet?

Does choking it hurt or help?? When was the last time you checked the air cleaner and made sure it was clean?? Does the coil feel superhot as in if you spit on it, the spit steams off of it

Could be the condenser is failing. I had a similar experience.
