popping sound

I have a 46 Farmall A with wheel weights on rear, which are tight.Double checked wheel lugs and they are also tight. I have noticed a popping sound on the left rear. I have taken the LR axle out and found bearings to be like new, nothing out of the ordinary in this area. I'm wondering if there could be a crack in the disk part of the wheel. Anyone have any other ideas on this?

Just because you cannot tighten those lug bolts does necessarily mean they are tight. Spray some penetrating oil on them, loosen them, and then retighten.

Be it a crack or loose fasteners look closely for trails of reddish brown rust stains, they will start to show when there is sufficient slop to allow movement.
The rubbing together of the loose parts tends to pulverize and release any surface rust, after that the cleaned surface corrodes quickly and the bleeding begins to show.

Loosen and remove each wheel clamp one at a time and look for shiny shiny metal on the rim. My guess one or more are slipping a bit. Maybe not but that's where I would look. I had the same experience, replaced an axle bearing (very pricey) noise still there, wheel clamps were wearing, actually the rim was wearing. check it out. gobble

Check the taper depth of the lug stud holes.

Be sure the nuts are tightening down on the wheel and not bottoming against the brake drum.

Rusty Farmall has nailed it remove the bolts oil the threads and put back and don't forget the four bolts holding the rim to the center

Ok Thanks guys I'll loosen and remove and put a little oil on all the threads, look for shinny places, fix if needed and make sure all is tight. Thanks again
