Anyone else take advantage of their rebates? I can't see how they can make any $$$ selling 5 gallon buckets of diesel oil for $24.99.....and a limit of 6 on top of it! Rotella T4 is $54.95 after rebate. I have been using the Delvac in my old tractors and Rotella in the Duramax...

Think about it. "Loss leader" or there is a LOT of mark-up in the oil racket - I lean towards the latter. Our reg. gas at the pump is now $1.4999 per liter. That extra .0009 adds up to millions of $. We are getting screwed, with NO kissing.

I buy it in five gallon buckets and have for many years .Just got a rebate check in the mail today in fact.

We just bought the same oil at Canadian Tire not long ago,$67.99 Reg $79.99/5 gal bucket, got a free truckers hat though.

Every 4 stroke I own get's Delvac 15w-40. I'm in N. Centeral Tx where it hit's 90F+ 12 months out of the year. If I were in colder climate,I'd use 5w-xx or 10w-xx.

You guys must all like slopping oil all over on your equipment handling 5 gallon buckets. I buy gallon
or 2-1/2 gallon jugs at most.

My old 7.3L Powerstroke held 3-1/2 gallons with filter, the 2-1/2 and 1 gallon jug was perfect. First 10
years I had the truck I did an oil/filter change about once a month, thought about buying Rotella in 30
gallon drums but didn't like the idea of pumps and oil cans sitting around getting dirty in my shop.

Slopped oil keep's things from rusting and handling 5 gallon buckets keep's a body in shape.

I have heard of the Rotella but never the Delvac. And I have never used a 15W40 oil. First was 10-30, then 10-40 and some 20-50 but never a 15something oil. And I cannot even any more handle a 5 gallon gas can. Mine are all 2 gallon. Heavy enough for me.

It's honestly not hard to not slop oil. Pour it with the spout on the top, not the bottom. When the spout is in the bottom, it chugs and spills all over. With the bucket turned around, it allows air in as the oil comes out and it won't "slop" all over.

Same thing for any other container oil comes in really.
