Work clothes.....or play clothes?

Bought a pair of bib overalls the other day. I fi d them a lot handier to put on than the regular sleeve type. Easier to work in as well. But these are dual purpose....along with the hat, they make part of the costume I wear for our upcoming play. It is about life in our rural area set in the 1960 era, and our cast plays roles of unique and eccentric locals around at that time, set to original music...lots of fun! Even a scene of my dad's shop, with him lapping a tractors valves in.
For a trailer, Google CTV News, London Ontario, Kingsbridge video

Maybe b&d can attend and give his professional opinion of a fellow thespian!

That play is on my wife?s theatrical schedule this year. She tries to make all the locally produced works in Huron/Bruce, the writer is a friend of hers from Goderich.

I saw the article on CTV News London, interesting and what your community did with the old church is unique ! Did you get your Bibs at TSC Goderich ? I need something to cover my clothes that is easy to get into compared to coveralls. I'm always being told to change my clothes so I don't ruin my "Good" jeans. Bib may do it !

Yes, TSC has a good selection of the big bill coveralls...on sale this week I think according to the flyer....of course, after I bought mine...

Never found a set of bibs that hang on me right. Must have an alien body shape. Will stick with my Wranglers and T-shirts.

Say Ben when and where is the play you mentioned? I may like to take my yl to it.

June 15 , 16 , 22 and 23 at 730 pm, June 17 and 24 at 2 pm. Kingsbridge is halfway between Goderich and Kincardine on highway 21. The big red brick church is on the west side of the highway, there is a sign out front. Can't miss it. Hope you can make it.

I lived on the 6 th across from the dairy farm in the second block east of 21 at the corner farm and later on the sideroad just north of the corner by one farm. During that time I worked in the welding and small engine shop in Lucknow part of a block south of the main street on the Dungannon Rd.

Yup, agree on the jeans. Now that I'm retired and working 7 days a week on my OWN projects, my everyday clothes are jeans and a t-shirt and sweatshirt. They can get pretty dirty and the wife complains that she can't get them clean if I wear them more than a day or two. I also have to wear suspenders with them. If I don't, I'll be constantly pulling them up or I'll look like a gangsta from the hood. I've considered bib overalls but I just can't see myself walking around in those. (I laugh when I see the moonshiners on TV wearing bibs and no shirt underneath. Real classy look. )

Anyway, I've got 27 pairs of jeans in various condition and 2 sizes due to slight weight fluctuations so I've given in to the wife (SWMBO) and don't wear them more than a day or two. I have to laugh when I pull a fresh pair out, put them on and she says "they're filthy, put them in the wash". She's usually right but I just say "you'd better talk to the laundry lady because these just came out of the drawer". (I do this from a distance).

BTW, I mentioned suspenders. I have a pair that I got when we started skiing 40+ years ago. They're a little frayed but held up my jeans very well. Last year, the kids got me a new pair (Craftsman) for xmas. Very sturdy material but the darned clips won't stay on the jeans. You move a little bit or reach for something and *pop*, off comes a clip. I've gone back to the old ones and have looked closely at the Craftsman ones and think I can tweak the clips to get them to grip the jeans better. Anyone have the same issue or can recommend a good set of work suspenders?
