He is high in price for a non running tractor. You can buy good running Farmall "A" for $1250-1500 with cultivators around here. A non running one with no attachments would be a $500-750 item here.
 
I was at an auction last year near Orange VA and they had several Super A and 140 tractors best one with cultivators bought less then $1200 a couple went in the
$600 to $800 range.A straight A is a $500 tractor.The decline of tobacco put the prices on those tractors in the tank.

Orange is about 100 miles south of me, so maybe this tractor is priced a bit too high. The ad says it has new rear tires and wheels, so he has some money tied up in that. Maybe best he can hope for is selling price that covers cost of his wheels and tires.
 
That tractor would bring 1200 In south central Nebraska. They sell higher not running. Don't ask me why.
 
I had a good running A with front and rear cultivators complete.
Brand new front tires and tubes, one rear like new, the other usable.
Finally let it go for $650 three years ago. Best I could get here.
Hand crank only. Nobody wanted one without electric start.
