Boss asked me a question today, didn't have an exact answer but told him I would find out...
His '08 F350 6.4 Powerstroke, said since getting the oil changed at Firestone he noticed the oil light stays on longer on start up and there is a deep knock until the light goes off. The oil level is good.
I'm thinking oil filter drain back.
Is there a check valve in the filter itself?
A check valve elsewhere?
Or is it just an air lock that keeps the canister full?
Or is this a sign of pending doom?
Thanks!
