Anybody ever seen a 40 Ferguson LP tractor? Not mine, it?s posted on Craigslist out of Mobile, AL
Have seen several makes of tractors over the years that ran on LP but this is first 40 Ferguson I?ve seen....

Yes, It's an industrial manufactured with both,gasoline and diesel engines. Any gas engine will run on propane.
 
Yes, I know any gasoline engine will run on propane, my company ran their fleet for many years on propane conversions before we converted trucks to now burn natural gas. I posted pics of the 40 Ferguson because it?s the only 40 Ferguson I?ve seen set up for propane. In my time, I?ve seen a John Deere 40, Farmall M, 600 Ford, 800 Ford, a Case and just a few others set up for propane, I?m sure many different brands over the years were ran on propane. Had a friend that owned the JD 40 and he kept it refilled off of his home?s 250 gallon tank
 
Sure doesn't look like a new engine. But for $750 I'd be all over it. I really like the one I've got. Mine's gas not propane.
 
Never seen a 40.
But know Massey made 50, 65 and others on LP.
I had a 35 for years that someone had installed LP on.
I really liked mine, wish I still had the little fellow.
Looks like it is all there, 750 don't seem too bad, 500 would probably buy it.
 

I've ever seen only two 40s and neither were propane. You need to give that one a good home.
 
A friend just restored a 40 last year. His is a 1957. It's supposed to be beige sheet metal with metallic grey casting, beige wheels! They only used that color combo a couple years. I believe they called it bamboo and flint grey!
 
Ferguson 40 and Massey 50 or MF 50 is same tractor,just different sheat metal and paint From when they were changing two companys into one.
