O/T Kubota arrived today

Got sick of constant front end repairs on the NewHolland T4030 so we traded it for a M6S 111 Kubota. Loved the NewHolland but it wasn't designed for a dairy farm. Almost bought a 5100M Deere but 10 k more for 10 less hp and 1000 pounds less weight than what we got had to say no. Not only that 13 Deere dealerships are under the same ownership a lot of Deere customers are very frustrated with pricing parts availabity and service this spring. This one will run our generator during a power outage as well so we can park the 30++ yr old Massey that hates the cold during the winter.

Our neighbours have a 5085E ,the hired help says the loader sticks way out front and it's not stable with a silage bale. They replaced the bearings and universal joints on theirs just after the warranty expired at quite a cost.

I hope you have as good a luck as I did with my Kubota. I used mine harder than it should have been used and I think it was 15 years before it needed any repair at all. Now 31 years later it's still going.

Thank you,we had M8200's for 18 years, the last one was 15 when it left,if this one's half the tractor any of them were it'll be alright.

Nice machine.

My fifth Kubota arrived last week.

FWIW: My first, a small, 20 HP B1750HST was bought new in 1993. In the 25 years that I have owned it, it has needed absolutely nothing. NOTHING. Not so much as a fuse, fan belt, radiator hose, or light bulb. Nothing. Yes, it gets good care and maintenance, is kept inside, and is not abused. Still, that record is still impressive.

The other Kubotas are much newer and I have had no issues but the jury is still out.

What transmission is in your M6-111?

(quoted from post at 10:40:17 05/23/18) good choice.put a loader on a JD and front end will break off.

I didn't know that. Do you have to use it to lift stuff or will it just break off?

Good luck , have someone go over the dis to wheel nuts at about 100 hrs, You will be glad you got the front fenders. So far all the M6s we have sold folks are satisfied. You will find that the tractor is a lot more tractor than the old m8200 and they were tough.

What a Beautiful machine. My heart is going pitter pat cause that is my favorite color. Have a whole lot of fun with your new toy.

Great transmission.

I wish I could have gotten power shift on my M9960 ROPS but the power shifting 24 speed transmission was not available on ROPS models and I cannot use cab tractors because I routinely mow beneath trees. Mine has the 6 speed synchro with H/L.

Does it have EPTO?

Dean

Thank you will do. I got quite a few splashes of mud in the face getting bales over the years, our T6 NewHolland has fenders too and you never see mud on the windshield. We feed 4x5 round silage to the heifers and this is the first rops tractor we've had that doesn't feel like your on a teeter totter with a bale on.

Thank you, this is the 6th one we've had over the years. We had bad experiences with an M125&126S but they were both worked very hard in the field. Had nothing but good to say about any of the 8200's we had, glad to get on an orange one again.

That would be a nice transmission too,we don't need 32 speeds but I like the dual speed function. I'm not sure what epto is?

If money wasn't an object we'd probably have a JD 6110M but it would be close to 50% more than this one is.

The neighbor has a 100 Kubota cab tractor and it doesn?t like picking up 1000 pound bales your usually on 3 wheels most of the time .he bought it to replace a beat to death Belarus 🇧🇾 he bought new in 1995 . I hope he keeps buying em because he doesn?t dare farm with em so I get to do custom work for him and he can feed cows with the Kubota

I've never been around the new M7's yet but we really like the 6cyl in the T6,a whole lot more tractor than the 4cyls we ran before chopping or working ground

We have a cab on another loader dairy farming doesn't pay great but you can't get work done on time with junk either

it wont look so pretty once it's covered in mud and manure lol We ran the last one 7days a week for 15 years and tried being more frugal and bought a used one. The payments on that plus the constant repair is less than the payment on the new one WITH 6 YR warranty, you do the math. If I have to work 7 days a week year round till past midnight in busy times and cant afford to have a couple decent pieces of equipment why bother???

Nice ! If I come for a visit, can I run your tractor ?? Be sure to check the bolts that hold the loader sub frame on to the tractor. The bolts were backing out on my MX 126. I told the dealer I wanted them to do some thing about it. They took it back to the shop, removed the bolts , cleaned out the bolt holes, and put some lock tight on them , no more problems.

Sure you can Bruce but only if it's not raining! Thank you I'll definitely keep an eye on them. How's your planting coming along?

Just have some silage corn left to put in, ground is warming up nicely now , so it will pop up fast. That is if it can get out from under all the manure I have put on the field. Phew !!! As they say, better out in the field growing corn than in the yard growing flies.

Fed 4x5 round bales with my 42 pto hp Kubota with nothing on the 3 point tonight, used it to load 1500 lb bags of fertilizer into the spreader on the weekend, again nothing on the 3 point. I?m guessing your neighbour doesn?t have loaded tires or cast rims. I just have tires loaded.

My M9960 does. It is a dealer installed option.

Several models have it as standard equipment.

Hi Phillip, looks great to me. Dairy farming is tough work, I know. It gets frustrating fixing all the time. It seems like a never ending battle. It's nice to have good equipment to get the work done 7 days a week.

Just kidding probably is the best deal to buy new as low hr used seems to be priced high with no new guarantee.BTW what sort of warranty do you get with a new tractor these days?

Haha that's ok,there's 6yr power train on new kubotas so our expenses should be fixed instead of up in the air for the duration of the lease.

It's odd a 100 HP Kubota won't pick up a 1000# rd bale because my 70 HP Kubota M7040 has handled 100's of 4X5.5 rd bales with both back tires staying on the ground.

What kind of front end problems with the New Holland? Was it a "compact" or did it have planetary gear front end? We have broken front axles on our "compact" 50hp 4X4, so I have shied away from non-planetary front ends. Will be interested to see how the Kubota front end holds up for you. Does Kubota say to put it in front wheel drive ONLY when you need it?

Bill

The T4030 was too light, couldn't keep front wheel bearings and seals in it,replaced both sides in less than a year and I pointed out to the salesman they're both almost ready to be done again. It was about $1000/side for parts and an hours labor for that. The front rims kept cracking, made of light steel and only 4 bolts connecting the 2 pieces of them together, fixed them 3 times in a year. The loader bolts snapped off on the right side last summer while loading manure,it just flopped sideways while lifting. Not made for heavy duty day in day out loader work.

We ran smaller kubotas for years even lighter than the NewHolland was and never had anywheres close to this many problems. The NewHolland does have planetary gears.
