You post interesting pictures - are you a scrapper? I have seen a couple of items in your photos that might be worth saving, but I understand you can't save it all.

Brindley Auctions in Auburn Ontario used to take several loads a month to the US. They were supplying the small farm/hobby farms with used equipment. I had a couple of 8' cultivators for sale at the end of the lane and Mrs. Brindley stopped and bought them both for cash. Truck picked them up the next day. With a strong small farm/hobby farm market and the exchange on the US dollar, it made it profitable to haul loads of tractors and machinery south. I could never buy anything at Brindley's yard because they always priced it at what it would bring in US dollars. I did buy a rotary mower there, it was brand new and he had several of them he had purchsased at a bankruptcy sale.

I know what you mean, half decent used stuff is almost impossible to find. Dealer friend told me, if the equipment is any good, no problem to find a home for it. Very strong market in the U.S.A. for usable used farm equipment. I am sure the exchange rate plays a big part. Dealers don?t hold equipment long, if it doesn?t sell, they move it off their lot to buyers, and it heads South

We had a salvage yard for years slowly fading it out to sell whole tractors and equipment. This load is all runners. website is Goodrichauctionservice.com. Harry and Ryan are good boys and move a lot of equipment.

The Brindley?s are low life?s, the one son you can?t deal with because he?s always so stoned he doesn?t make sense and the others will eagerly con a seller and rip off a buyer every chance they get. I once found a deal on a Super A on kijiji and agreed to buy it for the asking price sight unseen. Get there the next morning to pick up and the sellers said the Brindley?s had contacted them offering 200 more than asking price and said I was pulling a scam and ripping them off. The seller wasn?t stupid since I was paying their asking price so told them to stuff it. Not a lot of local people buy from them since they see the way they behave at sales, not a ethical one in the bunch. If you ever wonder why it?s difficult to find good deals on smaller equipment on kijiji, it?s because they employ a guy to comb the ads and buy up anything that?s sellable they can make a profit from. Brindley isn?t a he, more like a they, it?s an entire family. Funny part is the other Brindley (uncle) runs a scrap business and is more than happy to sell at a reasonable price to distance himself from the others.
