About that shower Tuesday. Up here we had bad thunderstorms, 4 confirmed tornados, one macroburst. Winds in excess of 80 mph. Many homes and businesses still without power.
A guy I used to work with had large hail destroy his place. Broke the windows in the house, shattered siding, broke roof shingles, destroyed his truck even broke the mirrors off the side of the truck. His fabric shelter had holes punched right through it. He said the hail even took the bark off the trees.

Saw a convoy of tree service trucks headed south on the NYS Thruway tuesday morning. Had to make a trip to Kingston to field measure a job. The radar that afternoon sure looked the part. Glad that it was not as strong up here as 2 weeks ago we got nailed hard, dozen trees down, nice chunk of one of our barns had the roof torn off, no doubt something with rotation did it. A 2nd round would have finished off that barn for sure. Looks like 2/3 will remain, but a big 1/3rd will be demolished.
 
I just bought a new Chevy Silverado and we had a hail storm that destroyed it,14,200 damage.There going to replace the hood,top,complete bed,and the right side.I was hoping they would total it.I have a hard time knowing there going to cut the top off my truck,but the shop told me they do it all the time,Does anyone have any advice?
 
Had an 06 DTS they replaced the roof on. Could not tell it had been replaced. One place on the drivers side, it was about 3/32" low. Had to look hard to see it, gap above door was just a hair to tight.
 
Newburgh,and Beacon area about 15 min away from me got hit pretty good. We got lucky in the Poughkeepsie area. Just rain and a little wind.
 
The town where I used to live, in CT, and where my wife's relatives live was devastated. The pictures they sent were unbelievable. Back in 2011 tornados went through and my house was badly damaged (had a big fight with insurance company). This storm was much worse.
