I planted Red Clover at 40% , Alfalfa at 40% and Timothy at 20%. First year all I will see is the Red Clover, second and third years it will be Alfalfa/Timothy. Makes great feed, but near impossible to get dry enough most years to make dry hay. I use it for silage.

a question sv. you ordered that mix from the feed mill already mixed in bags? I notest on bruces post his bags stacked on the foot board, that would have also come premixed?

That?s good to know I?m putting this into some this grass stand that?s already established . If it works I?m going to seed some of my pasture with it as well I have smooth Brome on my pasture it does not do well until August as it is a warm season grass . The seedsman recommended this so I?ll give it a whirl and see what it does

I called my local seedsman and he recommended
this blend it costs about 4$ a pound but I?m going to
try it and see how it does

About thirty years ago, I ran my milk cows on a rotational graze system. Trefoil and White Dutch Clover were mainstays in my pasture blends. The White Dutch Clover can take being pastured down, and once the cows are pulled off , it will quickly come back. Both will self seed once they are established.
