How old is this site

Anyone know when this web site started. I remember many years ago someone on the Red Power forum suggesting this site so that is how I found it. I think that was maybe mid 90's.
 
You can look at the Memberlist list.

If you believe it, it says a couple of admins joined 01 Jan 1997
Then "regular" members started on 25 Dec 1997.

But it also says two members joined in Jan 1974.............before the internet was a dream!
 
Are you talking when it was started or when names were started to be registered? I know I was on a couple of years before they started registering names. I was on as Leroy for some time then there was a different Leroy started to post so nobody knew who was actually posting. As soon as I found about registering names I did and got to register my name that I had used for the previous couple of years. The dates that are listed when you post are join dates, not when you first started to post if you were around before they started the registering of names.
 
I found it when I first got on-line in my early forties. I'm on the backside of my sixties now. We didn't register handles when I first got on. I'm thinking the early 90's when I got on board.
 

The first time I found this site was on my MIL's computer (we didn't have one) about 1996 or 7. We got our first PC when my wife started her Masters program in '97. $2800.00!!! This was the first site I bookmarked.
