Injector Pump Guys

Trying to work a few of the bugs out of my 2 into 1 skidsteer.

The engine is from the old machine. Yanmar 4TN82E I believe. It runs fine, but the injection pump is leaking engine oil. Apparently it was leaking before in the old machine, but so we're plenty of other things, so who knew? Now that it is back in the skidsteer, it isn't real accessible. I can't even really see where it's coming from. It seems to be on the rear half somewhere.

Anything prone to leaking on these that could be fixed in the machine? I'm really not thrilled at the prospect of pulling the engine back out. I'm also not thrilled about it leaving oil spots on the floor or all over my new paint.

Pics are from the bad engine, but I assume pump would be the same..

That pump has three cover plates with O rings in grooves that may be leaking, lower tappet access cover, side cover, and rear lower governor cover. Any one, or all three could leak engine oil..

you are in Northwest Ohio contact Martin Diesel in Defiance Ohio. They are Yanmar engine distributor and have a pump shop. My e-mail should be open. J.

Thanks. I'll have to try to get a mirror down there and see if I can figure out where its coming from. That would be great if it is something simple like a cover.
