We had our spring show at the Old Moravia Store in Lavaca County yesterday. It was a beautiful day and a good turnout and we don't limit exhibits to just tractors. The best part is seeing old friends and meeting new ones.I got a chance to visit with YTer DCARP in person again. Here are a few shots. The feature item was one cylinder engines or tractors.

The 1961 LP on the A is supposedly teh last registration when to old Doc was still driving it. Can you imagine someone getting ahold of it, chopping it and putting a
Chevy engine it it. That would be a felony. The old bike puttered around pretty good. It has foot brakes. You put your feet down.

My wife grew up on a Texas cotton farm and I love it there this time of year.
There is a microbrewery in her little, bitty home town that throws one heck of a party once a month.

what little Texas town is that? almost all now have a micro-brewery. I grew up in Moulton which is 10 miles from Shiner which had a tiny brewery but now it is pretty large and brews all kinda of yuppie and hipster beer. we had a couple of Shiner Premiums at the show. this is about 20 miles from there.

I agree 100% wjy, anyone who cuts up and hotrods the old model T's and A's should be tarred and feathered, and thrown in a dark dungeon  I can understand doing modern brakes, suspension, modern drivetrain, so it's safe to drive and you can use it as a cruiser or daily driver. keep the original spoke wheels, keep the car 100% original on the outside so when it's cruising by it looks like and original car. chopping cutting them up IS a felony

John, it was nice to visit with you, your son and your cousin again. I enjoyed the show and seeing your really nice Ford. A nice touch adding the SMV sign to the Ford to satisfy the politically correct police on here.

The 1st picture is one side of the Moravia Store. It is a reference to the song "Moon over Moravia" and the line in the song saying "957 leads right to the door". The road in front of the store is Texas FM 957, which runs from Schulenburg to Hallettsville and in front of my house also. If

I had one of the Simplex bikes when I was a teen. Strong, well-built little bike, but no power. Lot of fun, but don't be in a hurry to get there.
