I have power washer that intermittently makes no pressure. I you tubed it and although isnt the same model of mine, they all seem to say that the unloader valve may be stuck in theres. Anyone with experience with these.

There's not that much too them, and there are only a few types.

IIRC the unloader valve is the big one that's easy to remove without having to pull the pump off the motor or pull the pump apart. You can just pop it out and pop in a new one.

Best to find a parts diagram for your type of pump so you know what's what.

Turn it upside down and see if the pump is aluminum or bronze. If ir is aluminum and the name molded onto it is Annovi Reverberi don't bother trying to repair it. The aluminum pump bodies are rated for 50 hours. The body will corrode inside while sitting preventing the valves from working. If you go to Parts Tree you should be able to find your brand and order a new bronze pump for far less than a new washer. It is quick and easy to replace a pump. I went through this with my friends two year old pump four years ago. It is hard to understand teaming a cheap pump up with a good motor.

Had that with my Karcher (sp?) pressure washer. Found a step by step way to take out and lube/ clean and reassemble the valve. It took longer to read than to do, very simple. They were even right on step 6 or whatever it is - after loosening everything and pressuring the pump to get the valve to pop out, spend 5 minutes searching in the leaves to find the valve.... yup, exactly what I did..... I had to laugh at myself.

I had an old one that would do the same thing.

Hang the wand on a nail so the trigger is pulled then turn on the water and let it cough and sputter for a few minutes to get all the air out of it before you start it.

Not a proper fix but it kept mine going for years like that.

My Karcher pressure washer did the same...
I tried this and that and installed a new pump and still no difference.

There was air in the garden hose causing the problems. It can not build pressure if there is air in the system.

Go to Wal-mart an pick up an on/off valve for a garden hose. Place this on the end of the hose and turn the water on and get all of the air out of the hose and shut off the valve. Hook it up to your pump and hold the trigger down to purge the air out of the pump. Your ready to go now.

After a few uses my Karacher failed to make pressure and I was told it was the unloader valve, but I could never get it out. Apparently the earlier ones were really famoous for this. I replaced the pump and haven't had any problems since. A place that sells and services pressure washers cautioned me about running it any time when the wand isn't open, they said there is a safety valve(something you have to put on extra) that protects it but only for a very short time.
