Does anyone have a Parts Manual that could look up for me the correct part number for a Diesel fuel sending unit for my tractor? My tractor's serial # on the side of the engine is LD22052N11139D T44124.

Thanks,
Kim

Looks exactly like a 165 unit. I bought a plastic float from O'Riellys the other day. An old Ford truck float from the 70's also works. Do you know what the problem is?

Got any wiring schematics for my gages? Also, can you tell what year my tractor was manufactured by my serial number i posted?

I just had a sending unit go out in one of mine. The OEM price was $130 + shipping and handling + wait for it. ebay had a unit for $21 free
shipping in 3 days.

I found that there are several types of units out there: One is 0-90 ohms and the other resistance reading that's popular is 33-256 (or
thereabouts). Then there is there is full at miniumum or maximum resistance differences.

The tractor was made in S. Korea and the device I bought was made for a '65ish domestic Chevy and I liked that idea as I expected and got
one that had a very heavy duty resistance scale and wiper arm contact....ought to last the life of the tractor.

The tractor required F at 0 ohms and E at 90-100.

The unit was made for F at max resistance so I just turned the resistive sending unit upside down...easily done with the two mounting
screws....

The arm on the unit was adjustable from 6-24 inches. Cut to fit....my tank is 12".

Noticed that the Mounting hole for the replacement was SAE 5 patern/dimension and the OEM was something else in metrics, same patern
but slightly larger diameter mounting hole pattern . Swapping flanges solved that problem.

The dimensions for SAE 5 tank floats are published online, just ask www and you can measure yours to see if it fits since yours doesn't lend
itself to what I did to fit the mounting points.

Actually enjoyed the experience. Better spent $21 than had I decided to go to a movie.

or what it's worth I'll add my 2 cents to the conversation.. LOL. The number you posted is the engine. The serial number on the MF50 is on a tag on the rear left side tractor sort of tucked under the hood. With that number go to, Massey Tractor Data, to find out the year. Plus you can view the entire parts break down with parts numbers at " www.agcopartsbooks.com " pick the " AGCO - Offical Site ". Sign in as a guest, enter 50 as the model and Massey Ferguson as brand and look for 50 Tractor / Book 651291. The rt column list pages of the book, wiring can be found on pg. 82/94..
PS: the last time I replaced a sending unit NAPA had the gauge and new sending unit as a matched pair, at less than the OEM price, might be worth checking with them.
