We are going to get a sliding door with screen on one side of our garage. We use the one side of the garage as a room for an extra fridge and a feezer,,and its like another room to us,So ,we decided as sliding door will make it so much handier. We come in that way to the house 99 per cent of the time,The concrete apron in front of the door was cracked up.It would be hard to remove it once the new door was installed.i would be the guy doing it,,but,,,,since Im not well enough yet,,my friend came and did it for me.

I cant believe it,,I had to have someone else do a masonry repair job,,it really made me feel bad.

Hes such a good friend of mine.///At least I can slip in some advertising for my good friend?

No reason to feel bad at all, we all have had somebody help us when we couldn?t get something done. In the future, just pay it forward to
someone else, the universe all evens out in the long run.

Me too, Larry. I retired in '14 and thought I'd get everything done. Just can't physically do that much these days. I'm starting to hire for jobs I can't do and concentrate on what I can do.

You might want to look at installing a 5 foot wide or more French door.
Out swing version will not take up indoor floor space.
That way you can open both in order to get large items in and out.

Good thing too is you know the guy and he can be trusted. I am getting older and falling apart and less able to do what I used to. I have cut WAY back. So far I can still do my own brakes and oil changes on my car. When it comes time for something major I don't know who to trust to do a good job ? and also not rip me off ! I just hate to take anything anywhere to get repaired. I don't know how those that don't know how to do stuff on their own can even afford to get things hired done ? It gets VERY expensive. As time goes on I'll just have realize I can't do it anymore.

Im about 64 and some of the half day jobs seem to full day and then some. Fortunally I have a 16 year old grandson who will work for money.

You don't have any reason to be ashamed Larry. That fellow is a good friend and he knows what you have been through the last year. If things were reversed you would be
the first one helping him. Kinda like me when the storm tore my house up. It was hard for me to watch so many people help out when I have always been the person helping
others.

You aren’t alone. It’s hard for a good hard working man like you to watch someone else work without digging in to help. If I was in your situation I would have to leave until the job was done.

I would just accept the help and use the time off to get better, which it sounds like you are getting better. I'm sure he'll sleep good tonight knowing he helped out a friend

I'm kinda wondering Larry, how many have you helped over the years whether they was sick or just had a big job that required an extra set of
hands? Just reading your posts before Mr. C showed up I'd say as many as me and probably more. Take your turn and thank God you have
someone you can trust when the chips are down. You'll pay him back when he needs you. DP
