It is a slow day here in N.E. Iowa--Windy cold--Rainy and I caught heck for my old lady post so here is a feel good post. I posted the other day about helping other farmers when tragedy strikes and said I was in 3 of these-2 deaths and 1 broken neck. The wife got out the scrap books and low and behold there was pics she had saved of 2 of them. The one has my Dad when he was still alive. Got my ol 8820 in 2 of them. Plus a tractor pic.---Tee

That is cool. My grandpa was in an accident back in the mid 70's and lost his leg and was healing up and the neighbors harvested for him.

My great uncle was laid up about 1970. It was spring time. All plowing, discing, and planting done in one day. Dad was asked to bring his 24' spike tooth harrow as he had a harrow cart and could take it down the road fast. Pulled it with the 706 which was way overkill for power. Some tractors as old as F20 on up to almost new. Quite a sight

Nice looking 8820 you have/had there. It's sure had to beat the 20 series machines. I still have my 7720 for back up or to run corn in morning till beans are ready. It may be old but not near as bad looking as the pic you posted earlier!
