Cub Cadet 1100.

Picked up a Cub Cadet 1100 today. Gave $100. Brand new set of chains. New rubber all around. Engine was gone through about 3 years ago. Only thing is it sat so long the carb is in need of a rebuild. Came with snow blower and a mower deck. The blower has all new bearings in it. Curious what that carb kit is going to cost. Figured for $100 it was cheap enough. If nothing else I might put a new engine in and not screw with the old one. Also wondering if that snow blower will fit on my 1450. Tomorrow try it and see.

Fist off it sounds as if you stole it. If you have not done many carb
rebuilds it is getting to the point where a look on Ebay you can find
a new carb for just a little more than that kit. Crazy! Take the carb
off and look for the carb. number. This is what a Walbro carb will
look like. That number is 2201 then 696160. Yours may look a little
different.

Tried looking the carb kit up with a guess at the engine of that era.

Found it on Jacks Small Engines, bargain price of only $99!!!

Need a complete model number to be sure of the part. There should be a model, type, and code number stamped into the sheet metal, usually in the air shroud near the head.

That price doesn't sound right, hopefully with the correct number you can track down a better price, try Ebay.

How bad is the carb? Any way to make it run long enough to put it through the motions? That way you can find out exactly what you have, how far you need to go to make it a reliable tractor.

Sounds like you got a good deal so far!

Let us know!

it was built with a Briggs 11hp and a peerless transaxle.
Nothing like your 1450 although the attachments might interchange.

The 1100 was the "economy" model.

Any who, might look for a china knockoff replacement carb vs a rebuild kit. Ebay or Amazon for about $25 or less.

Well it the snow blower fit then the hyd lever broke( again) the joys of old equipment.... The 1100 is a gear drive and I'm thinking I'll like it better for hard pulling. The hydro is nice for putting around but slows down in a hard pull then speeds up. Gear drive , aside from wheel slip should maintain speed.

What makes you think you need a kit? Take it apart, clean it, and run it, with some Sea-foam in it! Maybe the Sea-foam will fix it without taking it apart, I have seen that.
