Boy that looks nice and warm there. Jealous ! Unless things turn pretty quick here in wny we won't see that locally for quite a while. Went to go to work yesterday and had 2 inches of snow. Going to have a few days off 50 degree weather then supposedly back into the 30's and 40's for the highs. Last year was cutting the lawn in late April. This nonsense has to stop !

You can tell I didn't plant that corn--Rows are too straight!! Thanks for the pics---Tee

cool David. It's going to be up pretty good by the time of the Moravia show and ride. Were you coming or going on this road trip? Or could you tell>

You get more corn in a crooked row! My dad still plants anything close to his house that can be seen from the road

How cold can it get before it really affects corn plants?and isn't it supposed to be close to getting a frost in that area this weekend?

As long as it does not get down around 28&#176 and the corn is small (less than a foot tall or about 4 weeks old) what they call the 4th leaf stage the growing point is still below ground so a frost will do little damage.
It may kill the top but the plant will come back with little effect to crop.

I'm planning on going to the show unless weed spraying gets in the way.. I have 4 places that still need to be sprayed. Normally wouldn't spray in the spring but these places have a lot of hog problems and it seems to help keep them off.

What can you be spraying that will help hog problems? I don't understand. How does a spray control hogs?
