Having trouble finding type A ATF fluid for the hydraulics .
Is there a newer oil I can us? No one in my area has type A or knows what use.
Thanks for any help.

For as old that tractor is and as much as you probably use it, use the same oil as you
do in the engine. Also, change the hydraulic filter and you will be good to go.

You need to use Dex3/Mercon in it. There is
no such thing as Dex 4 or 5. There is
Toyota T4 and a Mercon V, which is what
people are probably thinking of, neither is
the cross for old Type A. Dexron 3 is the
cross for old Type A.

I would refrain from the engine oil. Even though the seale and o-rings are for oil use sometimes they will swell or get fat and soft. I would just add the same Hytran or Hygard oil you use in the other tractors unless there is something special in the transmission/hydraulic that requires the difference.

The hydraulics hold only 6 quarts of ATF and is separate from the tranny/rear end. Believe that the universal hydraulic oil I use in my 1365 will work.
Thanks
