I got my Successful Farmer mag. the other day and this 2 page article was in there. It still gives me that warm fuzzy feeling when I read about farmers helping other farmers in time of need. I got in on 3 of these over the years-two deaths and a broken neck. When I had my heart thing 9 years ago this last Feb some of the neighbors wanted to help me plant the crop-but I was too proud "stupid" to let them. Paid for it too---Tee

Big Tee. I agree with you on the warm fuzzy feeling. That is so cool to see in action. I seen this happened to a neighbor back in the 70's when an old neighbor of mine, his mother passed away late in the fall. So many people came from all over the neighborhood to help moldboard plow in late November/December. They mudded it through and it was an amazing feeling to see how many pople stop doing there own field work to help a neighbor out in tough times. AWESOME!! Thank you for sharing sir! In our small town we had a harvest bee this past fall 2017 for one of my very good friends.
There were way more people than there was work to be done.
Had a crowd 160 plus for lunch.
We were done at 11:00.
People ate and stayed around to visit until nearly 2:30.
The day happened in the middle of harvest but no one was in a hurry to leave and get on with their own work.
This day was quite a tribute to how this man lived his life and how he treated people.
My friend Paul lost the battle with cancer this morning at age 63.
He will be missed.
