One of my friends from here on the site called me today.

He was talking of planting some of his garden,,he lives down South.

He mentioned he did some discing with his CASE VAC.

He said,,its a great tractor, but what a pain in the A## it is to hook the disk up with the CASE eagle pt hitch.

He went on to say,,the FORD 3pt on his FORD tractor is so much easier.

I warned him.I would post what he said,,so Jon F,,And the Adirondack CASE guy could read it.

He said go ahead,,I ll tell those guys too.....

Well, I guess he doesn't even know how to use it. He shouldn't even have to leave the tractor seat to hook to a 3pt. disc harrow. Hardest part is leaning back to put the pin in the top link. Not much different than todays 3pt quick couplers.

I cant say,,because I never had a CASE,,but this fellow has a CASE,and Ford,,and likes the Ford 3 pt much better,,youll have to wait and see what he says,,,,,

I just happened to think after I posted, that if you were talking to Rich, his tractor does not have an Eagle Hitch. His tractor is pre EH and it has a Stockton hitch which was made by an implement mfg. in Stockton, California. It was never marked as a 3pt hitch. It was just an adaptation of brackets and lift rods to raise implements mounted to the rear of the tractor with a lift system mounted in the torque tube of the VA's Similar to what IH used on their smaller tractors like Cubs, As, Bs and Cs.

The eagle hitch should be easier unless the pins on his disc are spaced a little too wide. I had to turn one of my pins on the rotary mower to the inside to get it to hook up to the eagle hitch.

My Vac is a 51 and not all my implements will fit. I am going to change it to a standard 3 point as I have all I need to do so. I told Larry he could talk about this. So aim your swords at me. I hate the Eagle Hitch.

Frankly anything that does not hook to the drawbar I don't care if I never see it. Trailer plows, disk all of it. would like to find a trailer bushog mower for lanes and such.
