What are the top speeds of a 9N and an 8N Ford tractor without the overdrive adaptation?

Hi,the one we have here tops out at 17 mph with the step up gear.

I have both 51 and 52 8Ns, both with Sherman combination transmissions.

Despite what the uninformed will tell you, both of my 8Ns will top out at about 20-22 MPH at rated 2,100 engine RPM when in 4th gear Sherman OD.

The 30-35 MPH nonsense that you may have heard is just that, nonsense.
