Satoh 370d compression release

Hi, first time user. I have a Satoh 370d 4wd that has sat idle for several years. After changing oil and filter and before I start it, I would like to build oil pressure without compression. My thoughts are to pull the injectors to relieve compression. Would this be appropriate? Any ideas would be appreciated. John

I'd bet if you reposted your question without the Satoh name in the title, you'd get some replies. There's a ton of knowledge here about
diesels. Try something like .... "Pre-Oiling a Diesel Before Starting". Don't even mention Satoh, somebody will help you out. Just say a
small 2-cylinder Japanese diesel engine.

why, just fill the filter and start it up, I've had tractors sit for 15 years and started them up 🚜

Pulling the injectors seems like a lot of work. I'd just spin the engine over on the starter with the throttle lever pushed all the way forward in the stop position till it builds oil pressure. Even with the throttle open it probably won't start without 15 - 30 seconds on the glow plugs. If you really want to get some oil pressure before starting, you could remove the oil sender and push some oil in with a pump up garden sprayer or some similar rigged up devise.
