Dual wheel project

Got the centers cut out and the rings put on today now I just need to get eyes for the j bolts to go through and get tires mounted this was a lot cheaper option than buying a set of factory dual hubs and I couldn't find a set to fit the 3020 anyway everybody had a set for a 4020 but not the smaller ones I thought about robbing the hubs off my 4020 but then I'd have to buy a set of wedges the best price I could was 300$ as far as cutting a (good) 9 bolt rim apart these are rotten from calcium to just not quite bad enough you can stick your finger through like the ones I took the rings off of

Those rings don't need to be welded in. Ours never were, and we had several sets of different sizes. But glad your getting them done.

I figured may as well give em a few passes just to help make sure the stay . I?ve got a set of 16 inch wide power adjust rims off a big Massey that I?m going to cut the rails out off and weld these John Deere centers I cut out today into those wheels

I like the spacer rings welded into place- reduces those "surprises" when mounting the duals...especially when doing it by yourself.

Picked up the tires today now just weld the eyes on for the j bolts get the tires mounted and I can spread fertilzer on my new pasture grass

looks like your back to work sv. or is that your truck? hope your back to work

I got lucky I text the boss the night before and asked if anybody was going to burley and she said yeah you are to pick up some lease trucks so I asked if I could go over to burley tractor and get some tires it saved me a 300 mile round trip to get the tires and I got paid to go get em.

Been working some still plenty wet. I?m going to
scatter some fertilizer on a couple of my local
pieces my other place is still under a couple feet of
snow

I believe you these rings were welded in the old rims I cut the welde and ended up torching the whole wheel apart before I finally got the rings loose

Clamp-on duals that I sold new back in the 70's-80's had the spacer bands welded to the dual wheels.

If you don't hurry you're going to have the wheels "worn out" before you ever mount any tires on them!!!! LOL
