Roller chain brand question

We need to replace a 145 link piece of 80 roller chain on our old 648 NH baler. Found 3 names on Amazon I'm not familiar with,Kosh was a cheaper one,Complete Tractor was a little more expensive one and General was about the same price. Our up the road supplier normally carries National which I think is made in China now? Anyone here have any experience good or bad with these other 3? Thank you

If your going to be using the baler much use USA made Diamond chain. The cheap stuff will not last very long and will wear your sprockets real fast. So unless you bale just a few bales each year buy good chain.

Perfect thank you I'll look that one up instead. I hate a poorly made product cheap or not.

I have never gotten bad roller chain, or most anything, from McMaster Carr, usually an American made product but occasionally it's imported yet of good quality nonetheless

"Diamond"/USA is the best there is.

"DAIDO" is the next best, and if bought right, about half the price.

Go to an industrial supply place they'll have several different grades of chain then you can compare and buy what you need.Big difference in how strong different grades are.

Morning: In the world of motorcycle maintenance, when a new chain is put on, both sprockets are changed,
as used sprockets will wear the chain quicker,, especially if the sprockets are worn into a " hooked/pointed"
condition , Maybe the cheaper chain is an option, until sprockets are due to be changed? but not too cheap either:)
Don't know how the sprockets wear on your gear, but something to look at just in case?
or two cheap cents of thought?
have a good one

In my Dirt Bike Racing days Diamond was always considered one of the best. Like someone else mentioned we most always changed the sprockets too when installing a new chain. If they are wore bad they will wear out a new chain quicker. We also ran allot of O-Ring chain which would hold up allot better in muddy conditions but it did cost allot more.

These guys saying Diamond and Daido are the best chains are wrong. The far superior chain is the Japanese Tsubaki chain . Way more technology than other chains. The side links are shot peened. You won't break a Tsubaki chain . This has been known for years.
