My youngest granddaughter learned to say Pappa yesterday, so Pappa gave her her first Oreo.

Nummy oreo

Wait until Pappa has to try and keep up with her. I am a Grandpa to a little one that lost her real Grandpa. She has more questions and can move. Faster than I ever could. Great to visit with her but when she leaves. I am ready for a nap.

Should have given her a pop to chase that cookie down. LOL That would have her bouncing along when she got home. LOL

give her lots of hugs and oreo's jon she won't be that small for long!! I have 2 granddaughters (twins!) it seems like just yesterday they where on grampas lap, last month they won gold and silver at provincial diving meet!! 9 years old now.

Adorable!

I'll tell you a little secret about granddaughters. When someone accuses you of spoiling her just grab her up and give her a bear hug and say Pappa doesn't spoil you does he? They are being silly. My youngest is 5 now and every time someone say's Pawpaw spoils her she just gives them a funny look and say's matter of factly Pawpaw doesn't spoil me! She will name off everyone else that does but not Pawpaw. I know I'm the worst offender but she never will. lol

Yes, Jon, they are great. It dosen't matter to them your occupation, the amount of money you have-or don't, where you live or what you look like. They are great because in most cases, you have something you didn't have when yours were young; TIME to spend with them. And that is priceless.

Jon F the Easter bunny will never hold a candle to you. :) :)
When My first granddaughter was born my life changed, I stopped looking at life so seriously and melted.
My FIL and her great grandfather had been suffering painfully with kidney and liver failure. For the most part a very mean miserable man to most, life was torture for him and wanted to give up daily until she came along then 2 more came 2 years later, Those kids gave him 9 more years of the best quality of life any of us could have hoped for and someone they will never forget.
God bless your Oreo Buddy and you for reminding us how precious they are.
I suspect she'll be back for more for many years to come.

Daughter noticed that and said that I didn't treat them like that when growing up. I said look in the mirror. You are going through what I went through with you and your 3 "wild" brothers. This time the stress is yours, not mine....I get to have fun. Wink!

That 2nd pic........

I remember our first and we were trying to feed him healthy etc. He was just about to start walking size when his grandfather gave the child his first icecream. I don't know what was funnier, the look on the child's face, the look on Mrs B&D's face or the look on the grandfather's face.
