I do not see why there are so many people that hate her. I do not think she would have been the best Vice- president in history but she would not have been the worst by a long shot. The left hated her with a passion. They set out to destroy her and her family in any way they could. If a right or a conservative had done that to a LEFT wing woman they would have been vilified for the rest of their lives.

Sarah Palin is far from a perfect person. None of us are. She did manage to become the 9th. Governor of Alaska. That is more than most people can say they did. So I really get mad when people say she is stupid/dumb. I really think the people of Alaska would not have elected her is she was either of those things.

No her crime, to many, is she is an attractive conservative woman. Those all have to be destroyed so the lefty women can feel that their life style is the only life to live.

Crazy Horse: I will tell you I did vote for nnalert. What to know why????? It had nothing to do with him being the "best" for the job. Neither Hilary or nnalert should have been the ones on the tickets of either party. So I voted for nnalert because I knew he would drive the Washington belt way politicians crazy. Both sides of the isle. In my life time the best thing we can hope for anymore is NOTHING NEW out of Washington. Anything they do together is not in the best interest of the average Joe Q Public. So grid lock is better than them getting anything done in my eyes 90% of the time.

No good,sane person would want to try and be the leader of this country anymore. You have to be a narcissist to even think about the job. Then add in national politics ruining anyone that goes to Washington.

On this Holy day it is easy to see that Money is the alter most of this country worships at anymore, with the politicians at the front of the line.

Sarah's biggest single downfall was her uncanny resemblance to Saturday Night Live comedienne Tina Fey. Tina "did" her so well that it was all the electorate could talk about, and even began to believe Sarah actually said some of lines in Fey's parodies. Sarah was no rocket scientist, but would have done a good job.

JD my vote for McCain that year had absolutely nothing to do with Palin. The woman IMO is an idiot. I don't claim that she cost McCain the election but she certainly didn't help!

Sarah Palin has likely accomplished a lot more in her life then most people here. Calling her an "idiot" is kind of idiotic, in my opinion.

She came to our town where we stay part of the winter - northern tip of the lower peninsula of Michigan. All of us there had a great time and she really rallied the crowd for nnalert and Jack Bergman.

This comment here is a good one. Down there you can't have a minority government, but I've always thought it was about the best case scenario up here. Very little gets accomplished, and that's a good thing.
Nothing controversial or significant tends to get accomplished, because the 2 sides can't get along long enough to make it happen, and neither party has the power to do it by themselves.

Agreed. She was the darling of the press until they McCain's poll numbers suddenly leaped over external_link's. Then the press took it upon themselves to destroy her. McCain joined in because he needed an excuse for losing the election and he sure didn't want it said he lost the election.
