just heard heard on the news this morning the chinese space station is crashing somewhere in illinois or indiana on sunday. i think i will wear a hard hat all day. heres an odd question.........if it crashed on your farm, who pays for the damage??? do you have to let any one on your property to retreive it? can you charge them to do so? i am sure they will destroy a field with heavy equipment and then leave you with a mess.

Also said do not be too curious about going up to the crash site if on your place. There will be toxic gases or residues on the debris from atmosphere re-entry, something about toxic hydrazine or hydrogen compounds from space. Do not handle any debris. The sheriff may know who to call. We are heading to HF for some harder hats.

Better park that new truck inside. Otherwise you might have to find a body man to fix the dents. LOL

Over 2/3 or more of the earths surface is in the possible landing area. Not easy to predict where it will come down. Most likely over oceans. Not really a large risk for a given area. It will most likely self destruct in the, atmosphere and burn up before landfall. Your chances of getting hit are miniscule.

That said if you are unlucky enough to get hit by falling parts, stay away from them. Let your authorities know and have their hazmat team take care of it. It may be contaminated by unused fuel carried on the station. That stuff is a nasty chemical. Expect that few if any parts will survive reentry. Also I think the fuel will burn up way up in the atmosphere.

If you suffer damage, good luck. Your insurance will probably not cover it. It is the property of the country of China. Good luck sueing them and collecting!

Out of an abundance of caution, Michigan has activated their emergency management center. WHOOPEE!

Hey remember when Skylab dropped a few parts in Australia. Couple of pretty big tanks.

Another thought. Maybe it will land in Munchkin Land? Wicked witch. Get out the tin foil hats. Could it be considered an act of aggression?

Just looked it up. Orbit is between 42.7 degrees North and 42.7 degrees South. Since I am at 43.2+ degrees, I am probably out of the zone of probability. Unless it skips like a skipping stone on water on reentry, I'm probably safe. Guess I can put my tin foil lined hard hat back on the shelf! LOL

I thought the Wicked Witch lived in New York or is she still in DC.
