Are there any programs to help with cost of fixing terraces and dry dams on hei land in Illinois river water shed with out taking land out of production

Are you referring to the Farm Service Agency (FSA)? Best talk to your county office. Natural resource Conservation Service (NRCS) has those programs. You may also make contact with your county office of Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD)(a state agency). It all depends on who has funding for programs you are interested in at the time you are there, it varies. probably best to inquire now before 2018 Farm Bill is passed.

good luck: most of there cost shares, make it more expensive then if you hire someone to fix them and pay 100% of the bill.
