Would it be asking too much to put on your profile where around here is ? Around here we got 12 inches of snow, or around here we will be planting onions next week, or around here we had a race riot last night. Just wondering.

I have my location on both profile and map as do a lot of us. And after a time we remember where people are. And back when I got on was said do not put your name or location in things. That was back in the 90's. I have given my contact location in posts when felt the need.

I made the same request a few weeks ago regarding weather-related comments. It means nothing if "It was 70 here this week" refers to Florida vs. Minnesota. I can't imagine that at least listing a state as a location in relevant messages could invite lots of bad guys to find anyone. I'm as paranoid as most folks, but there's a limit to my phobias.

One poster has put his location on here hundreds of times and the one time he doesn't someone has to ask where are you. That tells me the one asking does not pay much attention to any posts on here, just now and then randomly. And as I have said before my location is in my profile and I am also on the map and I have many a time since the late 90's put my location in a post so I figure if they want to know everytime about location they can find that information.
