Elephant Birds

Some birds have taken a liking to my trucks mirrors. By the door smears, these must be elephant birds with diarrhea! Wonder what I could put on the mirrors to repel the birds? Trucks sit outside.

I had that problem with the Robin birds. I tied plastic bags on the mirrors of the truck when parked. The movement of the bags kept them away. You could also close the doors on the bags.

Keep a couple of brown paper bags or any sack to cover the mirrors with. The birds are territorial and fighting themselves in your mirror. You can also turn your mirrors in so they can not see themselves. Or you can park your truck away from where this is happening. Moving it solved my problem. Hope this helps.

Son had a all black car he didn't drive much. It set out on the street. Two house down were vacant lots with trees. His car was covered in bird do do. There was a bunch of blackbirds staying in the trees. Poor car was turning white.

I have the same problem. The bird fights himself on the bumper of the wife's new car. I put a plastic owl in front of the car. the bird just moved to the mirrors. I had crows pulling the rubber seal from the sliding roof on my other car, I traded in on the new one. Sometimes you just can't win. Stan

I once got a mocking bird out of his loving mood with my exterior car mirror during blackberry season with a well placed shot from my .30 .30. All I found was one wing. TDF

We had crows pecking at the windows of my church. I learned on here to string fishing line in front of the windows. It worked.
