I bought a Case 222 couple days ago an i when i got it running it runs great problem is it takes alot of starting before it runs. up to 2-3 minutes any reason for this

Sounds about right. Easy thing to check. Take the air filter off and
take a oil pump can with a little gasoline. Squirt it in the carb when
you crank. Also check your air filter. Do yourself a favor and put an
NGK sparkplug in her too. While you have the plug out make sure you
have a good hot blue white spark. Lastly check your compression.

. I forgot to mention that the people i got it from put a new briggs and stratton 18hp motor in. So wouldnt they have had to put on a new fuel supply pump too

I have 4 Case L&G tractors two of them have electric fuel pumps on them and they all will when I finish working on them. Makes a big difference in starting. Use one with about 4 lbs. pressure.
