Looking for some good tools.

One time in my life I had a whole tool chest full of tools. Just for one thing to restore muscle cars, and farm equipment. As my parents got older I was traveling from my house to there's. working and tiring to keep every thing fixed and good. when I left my house people would tear in to the tool shed and take tools from me. My tool box has not thing left in it but the tools that said made in Taiwan these where tools not even those drug people would steal. since my parents have past away I have moved to a more open place and building a shop. Looking for that person who might be up in age that has stopped working on Cars, tractors and might be looking for that person. who would be glad to buy there tools from them. I do understand that some people when they get old need money for there care or a little extra money would help them out in there life style. I have been pricing out the new tools like snap -on, Mac tools, S-K tools. I just thought I would ask this tractor page to please keep me in mind. I would like to help out those older folks out here that might need a little bit of money. I would be also interested in old shop manuals. on Cars, semi trucks and tractor equipment to. when emailing make subject Tools and books. thank you.

Interesting perspective, also cannot stand thieves, hope you find an opportunity, keep your eyes peeled on CL, though often times prices shown might not match the real value of the lot of tools for sale by a particular seller.

I recently stumbled across someone selling some of his dads things, and even as an outsider, so darned depressing and we will all be there at one point, I was able to buy a a few things and the seller was making good on getting some decent cash for things no longer needed.

One of the 2 things I bought was an N.O.S. never used Ford 110 single bottom plow with coulter and gauge wheel. They discovered that they had shale with little topsoil over it, so the plow was never used, but kept all these years.

He mentioned having some ammunition available too, so I made a deal for a nice lot of .223 as well. He was going to give that to me, I said I will pay you a fair price, won't hear of it. Also said if that plow did not sell, it would likely have gone to scrap ! It would have sold no doubt, and I was glad to pay him for it, my 2nd 110 single bottom and I have a nice 640 ford for it to go on, but I think I might just keep it NOS, use my other one which is set up nicely with a rock share on it.

Always ask what else they have for sale and always use care when contemplating going to a sellers place and handling cash. These things run across my mind every time I go to make a deal. So far CL has been a great place to find quality useful things at a fraction of the cost of new, sometimes even better than new. Price a new single bottom plow equipped the same and it's not even as good a quality as the older ones are.

Those single bottom Ford plows are hard to get and usually bring good money.

Check out estate and rummage sales. I found a whole toolbox full of good tools at a rummage sale. Whoever owned them was obviously a real mechanic.

The deals don't come up often but they do, and when they do you have to be right there with cash in hand.
